Christian Modern began in 2023 with a single piece painted for our own living room. A soft mountain landscape with one cross at the highest peak. Warm neutrals. Earthy tones. Nothing loud. Just a quiet, steady reminder of faith that looked like it belonged there.

That one painting changed the atmosphere of the whole home. Faith stopped being something reserved for Sundays and started living in the details of ordinary days. In the room where dinner happens. In the hallway kids run through. In the space you wake up in.

So we kept painting. And we made a promise that still decides everything we release: every piece has to carry real Scripture, and every piece has to be beautiful enough that your guests ask about it before they know what it means.

Then something unexpected happened.

In 2024 we shared a piece called Jesus Leaves the 99, inspired by the parable in Matthew 18. The Good Shepherd leaving His entire flock to go after the one that wandered off. We painted it the way that moment actually feels. Not dramatic. Deeply personal. Soft grass, quiet hills, Jesus walking alone toward the one that got lost.

More than 12 million people watched it on Instagram and TikTok. Hundreds of thousands shared it because it put an image to something people already felt: that no matter how far they wander, they are worth coming after.
